AITO Sustainable Tourism
The Aito ST star rating system evaluates tour operators against a series of Sustainable Tourism criteria and awards a star rating from 2* up to a maximum of 5*. Adventure Alternative have been awarded the maximum 5* rating.
ABTOT
As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), Adventure Alternative has provided a bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.
In the event of insolvency, protection is provided for non-flight packages commencing in and returning to the UK and other non-flight packages excluding pre arranged travel to and from your destination. Please note that packages booked outside the UK are only protected when purchased directly with Adventure Alternative.
In the above circumstances, if you have not yet travelled you may claim a refund, or if you have already travelled, you may claim repatriation to the starting point of your non-flight package.

Ventures provided by Adventure Alternative Limited conform to British Standard 8848, Specification for the provision of visits, fieldwork, expeditions, and adventurous activities outside the United Kingdom.
Independently assessed and declared by The Young Explorers' Trust, on the basis of the operating procedures and safety management systems evidenced, and sample ventures examined, on 26th November 2012 and valid through to 26th November 2015.
