Accommodation in Kathmandu Guest House
For over a decade Pasang Sherpa and his family have welcomed trekkers, climbers, volunteers, medical students and travellers to the Adventure Alternative guest house in Kathmandu where you get a warm welcome and great company in a secure environment, with easy access to the likes of Thamel District, airport, local amenities, etc.
Most people only spend a couple of days here at most before heading up to the mountains to start organised treks or climbs but we do also accommodate longer stays in the capital, particularly for Medical Students who spend an average of 4 weeks on their Nepal Medical Elective in one of the hospitals in Kathmandu.

The house has three floors, plus a large rooftop terrace which will give you a nice glimpse of a part of the city and is a good place to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets and the court yard has good space for parking, games, R&R, etc. On the ground floor there is a large common area with a spacious living room, dining area and kitchen.
In total, the guesthouse has 5 fully furnished bedrooms (one triple room and four twin rooms, three of which have a balcony) and 3 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are on the first floor (en-suite triple room and two of the twin rooms which share a bathroom). On the second floor there is a comfortable common area and a balcony, as well as a computer area. Next to that are two twin rooms which share a bathroom.
