Trekking in East Africa
Our East Africa treks including Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Mount Kenya and lots of options of treks in the Rift Valley and the Aberdare hills. We can also offer biking trips in the rift valley and especially school adventures which combine the adventure opportunities with some community service and wildlife safaris.
Trekking in east Africa has never been safer, these are off the beaten track places and perfect to get away from the big tourist areas on the coast. With a great infrastructure of roads, excellent staff and our own camping equipment to provide a perfect base at the end of the day, this is a chance to walk on the wild side and experience Africa on foot. Some national parks are open for walking and cycling, such as Hells Gate, and the experience of walking amongst the giraffe and zebra is very special.
On Mount Kenya there are plenty of treks without going to the summit, and a plethora of unusual plantlife and lots of wildlife like Colobus monkey and buffalo that visit the campsite at night. These areas are protected by park rangers and national park rules so it is safe and enjoyable. A lot of people also enjoy the option of doing some cycling and some hiking, and perhaps a bit of rafting in central province. This combined with a safari to one of the famous parks like the Masai Mara, and maybe a visit to the coast for some downtime on the white beaches of Mombasa should make this a perfect holiday.
