Park View Nepalese Spa Resort
We start our journey in a beautiful, four star hotel on the outskirts of the wonderful capital, Kathmandu. Spread in 5 acres of wooded land, each building is individually designed in vernacular architecture blended in a Mediterranean neo-classical style. All rooms face south and have two private balconies to watch the evening glow of the Kathmandu Metropolis with the magnificent sunset in the west and the "flickering lights of hamlets to the north".

The relaxing gardens harbour more than two thousand flowering trees and shrubs along with varieties of butterflies, dragonflies and nearly 75 species of birds. On warm summer nights, the garden is alive with flickering fireflies.
We spend four nights at the wonderful hotel where you will receive lessons from our Yoga instructors, relax by the pool and enjoy rejuvenating spa and massage sessions. We also visit the sights and temples of Kathmandu with a guide.

The next section of our holiday in Nepal has been tailored to suit everyone’s needs, whether you would like to continue the relaxation and holiday or travel up into the mountains and discover the remote beauty and tranquillity of the Himalayas. You can choose ourHolistic Trek’ or ‘Holistic Holiday’ option.

Holistic Holiday Option

Our Holistic Holiday in Nepal takes us on a short flight from Kathmandu to the Chitwan jungle in Southern Nepal. Here we enjoy two days luxury in our Lodge Hotel right in the heart of the Chitwan National Park. We will enjoy safaris on elephant back, go on dug-out canoe trips, nature walks and discover the rich culture of this magnificent area. The Chitwan is one of the few remaining undisturbed vestiges of the 'Terai' region, which formerly extended over the foothills of India and Nepal. It is rich in flora and fauna and one of the last places on our planet with populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros. It is also one of the last refuges of the Bengal tiger and has breathtaking birdlife.

After our two days of rich culture, tours and wildlife we drive to Pokhara one of Nepal’s most stunning regions. Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fish-tailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6,977 m) rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has a much more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers which prosper in its environs. Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes, and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya. We stay in this region for two nights in one of its most famous hotels and enjoy the atmosphere and views on a tour and also from the water as we venture out onto Lake Phewa.

We then take another short flight back to Kathmandu and our holistic retreat hotel. The following day is definitely a highlight of the trip as we take another flight only this time around Mt Everest! THe pressurized aircraft will climb out of the valley and fly around the highest point on earth and if you’re lucky you might even see someone standing on the roof of the world!

A days shopping and relaxing in the capital follows before our flight home and after all the relaxation, tours and pampering you will not want to leave!

Holistic Trek Option

If a bit or rural exploration and walking is more appealing, we have designed a beautiful trek off the beaten track to a region of the Himalaya, which our charity Moving Mountains has been helping for many years.

After the initial pampering in Kathmandu we board a small plane for one of the world’s most famous flights up to the starting point for all Everest expeditions, Lukla. From here we will walk for two days to the small villages of Bupsa, Khari-kola and Bumburi stopping enroute to enjoy the scenery and hospitality of the local people.

This is a beautiful region of the Himalaya which is rich in culture and history. The local Buddhist people are humble, hardworking and honest hosts. You will live for a few days in this region with local Sherpa families who will welcome you with open arms. Whilst here you can watch the day to day life of the Sherpa people, go for walks and tours around the area, visit the temples and our Buddhist Monk School and get a real feeling and understanding of what life is like in a region which remains unchanged for centuries.

After three days in the villages we then walk back to Lukla for our flight back to Kathmandu where we will stay in one of Nepal’s most famous hotels right in the heart of the cities Thamel region. Here you can enjoy the many fine restaurants, markets and temples before flying out for home the following day. If you would like to include a flight around Mt Everest we can also do this prior to flying up to Lukla.
