Thanks for a fantastic time out here, fingers crossed I can get back out soon!

We live in turbulent times. Going on holiday now can become as much an exercise in checking the ‘terrorist rating’ of a destination, as checking whether the hotel room is ensuite. It is our job to tackle that issue and ensure that people have the correct information. Fundamentally, we would never entertain taking clients to any country or location where they would be in any danger, other than the risks inherent to the activity they are undertaking such as mountaineering. We have a large back-up of staff and a huge network of contacts to draw on for the latest intelligence and for safety in-country. We can offer detailed descriptions of our operations in each of the countries were we predominantly operate. Safety and professionalism is our watchword, and not just a glib catchphrase. We have a 100% safety track record in over twelve years of expeditions.
Political issues in Kenya
Following the troubles during January 2008, we are confident that the country is now firmly on a road to peace and reconciliation. There have been no repercussions and our staff on the ground report that there is no danger to tourists or visitors in any part of the country. We will not be cancelling any of our trips in 2008, however we will be following a strict assessment of all areas where groups will visit, and we have suitable alternative plans ready.
Political issues in Nepal
Following many years of unrest caused by Maoist fighting with Government forces, the Government of Nepal ousted the King in 2006 and invited all parties to the political table. Since then there has been calm in Nepal, despite problems with fuel supplies from India. Our staff in Kathmandu report that all our projects are continuing, and visitors will be perfectly safe in the country.
