Moving Mountains is going from success to success, however we continually need your help and support.

People continually comment to us on the remarkable work being undertaken by the charity when they come across our projects whilst on expedition with Adventure Alternative. Many people have in turn asked us if they could climb a peak or go on a journey and use it to raise funds for the charity. Hence we are proud to promote two very special trips, which not only take people to beautiful environments but also directly help Moving Mountains. Whilst in-country you will see and become involved with the charity projects at a grass roots level and also help us by raising funds so that we may continue to undertake our work and develop upon it.

Trek Nepal and Work in our Model Green Village!
This is a wonderful trek which starts in the colourful and friendly capital of Kathmandu and flies to Lukla from where we trek towards the villages of Bupsa, Khari Khola and Bumburi. Bumburi is a model green village and you can see how our hydro electric plant and community projects. Here you will be immersed in rural Himalayan Village life and live with the local Sherpa people whilst giving essential help to this fantastic community.

DATE: 23rd May 2008, 2 weeks. No serious altitude, general fitness required.
COST: £600.00 land only (paid to Adv Alt) plus Fundraising minimum target: £1000.00 (paid to Moving Mountains)
Additional Costs: Flight estimate £650, Visa $20, food in Kathmandu estimate $20
Included in the cost: Hotel Accommoation in Kathmandu, Lukla Flight Return, All trek, accommodation and food costs in the mountains, airport transfers, All staff, porters, guides and western tour guide, all UK and Nepal administration.

Trek Africa’s 2nd Highest Peak, Mt Kenya, and get Involved with our many Projects in Kenya!

Kenya is a truly wondrous and diverse country however beneath the surface is a tale of hardship and poverty. Moving Mountains has been heavily involved with many projects all over Kenya for many years. This journey to Kenya takes us to the peak of her highest mountain, Mt Kenya. It's a fabulous supported trek which offers inspiring views and a great challenge. After the trek we will embark on a journey of a different type to discover and appreciate the work of Moving Mountains in the shanty towns and communities where few westerners visit. You can become involved with building and assisting in the schools, clinics and orphanages. This rewarding trip will really let you see the flip side of Africa and the reality of life in such a country.
